i think i really have a thing for lean and long people…guys…
from the past till now, it has been proven each and every time…
a natural tendency for me to be drawn more to…
瘦瘦长长的…why is that so har?

took an overnight flight on air china…
but before that, went over to the new T3 to take a look…
hmm…flooring also different leh…the carpet felt very soft…it was as if i was floating when i walked on it…haha…

reached beijing airport at around 7am, by the time we collected luggage, took breakfast, and then took the airport shuttle bus at around 8.30am to 东直门外大街, walked a long way to 东直门内大街 where our hotel was located, checked into our room, it was about 10am…
the sky looked so dull and colourless…hopefully it is not gonna be like that for the rest of the trip…

view from the hotel room…

anyway tired, so we decided to take a nap first before setting out…

(i specially bought this guidebook from popular bookstore…it was indeed very useful throughout the whole trip…i will call it MY GUIDE when i mention it in my entries…)

when i was in beijing 12 years ago, i could have the chance to visit and see how these hutongs look like…but aiyo…that was my very first trip in my whole life, and i only went to wherever the tour guide brought us to…what a pity…i believed back then, there should still be many hutongs around…

that was me trying to take my favourite foto below…

it was very cold…it’s time for dinner…i had actually wanted to look for this “老伍“ cafe introduced in MY GUIDE, but we walked a few rounds, couldn’t find it at all…finally we realised the shop has already turned into a spanish cafe! no wonder we couldn’t locate the name at all…the problem is MY GUIDE was published in january 2008 leh…within 2 months, the shop disappeared liao wor…

in the end, we decided to walk into this korean restaurant called 韩香馆, which is also featured in MY GUIDE…

P/S: goodness…took ages to finish just this entry, cos wordpress changed its interface, i had to spend time to figure out how to insert the fotos properly…well…i dunno how long i will take to finish my other beijing entries loh…

came back from my beijing trip last night…21st march til 31st march…
was an interesting and “mind-blowing” trip…cos even though i know beijing has developed a lot throughout these years, but it is really a totally different city view from the one i had seen around 13 years ago…

8 years ago, when i was in japan, having foot massage in the roppongi district (done by chinese from china) and heard about the news that beijing will be hosting the 2008 olympics games, i told myself that i will go visit beijing in that year…
and so i fulfilled my wish…
